But when I see Italy suddenly become Dark!Italy and tries to kick England and torture him, it’s like, “What the heck am I reading?” That isn’t Italy. Heck, that isn’t even Dark!Italy. That’s using the characters because you want a pairing. England, wants some cute and ditzy little prey, and goes after him. Or, he wants to ‘punish’ Dark!Italy. I…don’t remember this as being even remotely canon. Not that I have a problem with people going out of canon of course, as long as they don’t abuse it. I don’t think England’s some creeper on the Italies. I don’t think he ever has been. Please respect the characters. Please understand that not everyone’s going to like how a pairing is played. Don’t shove pairings in other people’s faces, and pretend it’s alright because they like the pairing. I’m honestly getting tired of seeing it. Which is sad, since I do like the pairing. Look, if you want to ship it, ship it. But respect the characters that Hetalia has given us to pair up. There are many guilty pairings, that even I like that are guilty of this. So maybe, next time you come shoving a pairing at someone, just because they said they liked it, think about what they really like, non?
