I don’t understand why people get so obsessive/defensive about parings. I mean, the whole point of fananything (be it art, fiction, whatever) is to be able to tell a story the way you see it. That means that we all sort of create a separate set of characters each time we portray them. I personally like USUK, but I like USJapan, and JapanGreece, and GreeceTurkey, ect… Depending on the situation, each character has a different personality, and I enjoy them all. It’s nice to stick close to the characters original personality, but hey! it’s fandom, why not change it up, that’s the entire point. If you don’t like a pairing, don’t read/look/care about it. You don’t have to go and bitch about it. Seriously, that’s what half these posts are about. Everyone has the freedom to enjoy whichever pairing they prefer. Don’t freak when someone enjoys what you don’t. It’s just like one person liking Christmas while another likes Easter, or whatever. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. Just let them be and enjoy what yo like! :)
